Kidney disease is a serious health condition that impacts millions of people around the world. Without proper treatment, it can progress to kidney failure, making dialysis or a kidney transplant necessary for survival. At The Kidney Compass, everything we do is rooted in purpose and compassion. Our values guide how we serve the CKD community and support those navigating the journey.

Our vision is a world where no one faces kidney disease alone empowered by clarity, compassion, and a strong sense of community.

Our values are centered on empathy and understanding, providing accurate, timely, and clear information, empowering individuals to take control of their health journey, amplifying the voices of CKD warriors and caregivers, and fostering safe, inclusive spaces for shared stories and support.

In 2022, Olivia’s life took an unexpected turn. At just 29, while planning to pursue her master’s degree and build a future, she was diagnosed with a double retinal detachment and Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease—all in the same week. What should have been a gradual introduction to life with CKD became a crash course in survival.
After months of in-center dialysis and transitioning to home treatments, Olivia realized something was missing: a central, compassionate space for kidney warriors like her to find real answers, real stories, and real support. That’s how The Kidney Compass was born.
This platform exists to guide those navigating CKD—whether you’re a patient, caregiver, or advocate. Here, you'll find practical resources, wellness tips, encouragement, and community, all grounded in lived experience.
Olivia continues this journey while actively searching for a living kidney donor—and through The Kidney Compass, she hopes others facing CKD feel informed, supported, and never alone.
